Both 3D fence and 358 fence are popular choices for perimeter security, but they serve different security levels. A 3D fence (also known as 3D panel fence or 3D welded wire fence) features a distinctive V-shaped or three-dimensional mesh pattern that enhances rigidity and anti-climb performance. It is ideal for commercial sites, sports fields, and industrial parks. In contrast, a 358 fence (often called “prison mesh” or “anti-climb fence”) has a much smaller mesh opening (12.7mm x 12.7mm) with a thick 4.0mm or 5.0mm wire, making it virtually impossible to grip or cut. 358 fence is designed for maximum security applications such as military bases, data centers, and prisons. For most industrial sites, a 3D fence offers a balance of strength and cost; for high-risk perimeters, 358 fence is the superior choice.
